You may recall that Eric Dosal recently created a blogs series about our blog. In case you need a refresher, he asked, Does Anyone Read our Blog? He shared Our Blogging Secrets and Tips on Getting People to Read Your Blog. As a follow up to that, we surveyed employees, clients, friends and partners and asked them to rate our blog content, distribution and frequency of our posts. We also asked what they would like to see more of and how can we improve their blog experience. Overall, we received great feedback. Here’s a summary of the results and feedback!

In early February, Compuquip hosted the Q1 HTG 50+ peer group meeting here in Miami. Despite the unseasonably cool and gray weather, the two day session wound up being informative and productive, just as hoped. The primary topics of conversation included service team structure and management, 2012 growth strategies, successful acquisition planning, among others.
This was my second HTG meeting, so while I had a better idea of what to expect coming in, I remain unequivocally impressed with the unique insights provided by all of the MSP’s in our peer group. Almost every region of the country is represented in our small peer group alone, and each has a very different story about how the business originated and how it evolved and grew ever since. Having neither a technical or IT sales background, these meetings provide a phenomenal opportunity for me to listen to very successful and driven executives speak candidly about the more “techie” aspects of their operations. And I, in turn, am becoming more adept at translating and applying that new knowledge to my role in Finance and specifically how Finance helps steer the overall strategic direction of the company.
