You may recall that Eric Dosal recently created a blogs series about our blog. In case you need a refresher, he asked, Does Anyone Read our Blog? He shared Our Blogging Secrets and Tips on Getting People to Read Your Blog. As a follow up to that, we surveyed employees, clients, friends and partners and asked them to rate our blog content, distribution and frequency of our posts.  We also asked what they would like to see more of and how can we improve their blog experience. Book Review – Flash Foresight: How to See the Invisible and do the Impossible, by Daniel Burrus with John David Mann

Flash Foresight – noun. A sudden burst of insight about the future that produces a new and radically different way of doing something that will open up invisible opportunities and solve seemingly impossible problems before they happen.

In Flash Foresight, author Daniel Burrus attempts to show the reader that it is completely possible to predict the future (kind of) and thus, plot your own course accordingly instead of allowing destiny to plot it for you.  Just how exactly is this possible, you might ask? One support issue we frequently get from some of our customers is just that, “we are getting a lot of spam, please make it stop” and trust me, we understand how annoying it is. So, how can we stop spam email?

That’s the million-dollar question. Hate to be the bearer of bad news… it’s impossible to fully stop spam email, but not all is lost. While it is impossible to stop some spam emails from getting through the filters, it is possible to limit the number of “spam” emails we receive.

Last week the Engineering Team got together for their bimonthly CQInfoshare but this time there was a new twist to the program.  InfoShare nights are fully dedicated to our engineering team and the topics and format tend to revolve around some type of technology training.  But last week Jorge decided to change things up and implement a suggestion from our new DataCenter Operations Manager, Peter Cook.  This time we held a “Bright Ideas” contest (details below) and we had 3 participants present their Bright Ideas.  As the votes were being tallied we had 2 of our Senior Systems Engineer do a technical deep dive into one of their recent projects.   It was a great night and check out some pictures we took during the event here.
