Microsoft Office has an abundance of shortcut keys to make you life a little easier every time you use one of its programs. There are so many shortcuts in fact that it can be a bit overwhelming to try to learn them. I have put together a list of what I believe are the best shortcuts based on their frequency of use from the Microsoft Training Library. Enjoy!

Proper use of shortcuts is to press noted keys at the same time. For example “Ctrl+A” = press “Ctrl” and at the same time press “A”
- Ctrl+X = Cut
- Ctrl+C = Copy
- Ctrl+V = Paste
- Ctrl+B = Apply Bold to highlighted text.
- Ctrl+I = Apply Italic to highlighted text.
- Ctrl+U = Apply Underline to highlighted text.
- Ctrl+Y = Repeat the last action. For example: You just added a row to a table. Click Ctrl+Y to add another one.
- Ctrl+Z = Undo the last action.
- Ctrl+S = Save.
- F12 = Save As.
- Ctrl+F = Find. Search for text in a document.
- Ctrl+O = Opens an existing document
- Ctrl+N = Opens a new blank document
