Alberto Dosal, Chairman of the Board
Alberto Dosal is Chairman of the Board of Compuquip Technologies, one of
South Florida’s largest, Internet security providers. He founded the company
in 1980 and has since expanded the family-owned firm’s product and service offerings to meet the evolving IT demands of the region’s businesses.
Previously, Mr. Dosal held senior-level positions selling data-processing products and services for the local offices of several large corporations.
Active in the local community, Mr. Dosal is a Chairman Circle member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Chairman Elect for 2012/2013. In 2011 he was inducted into the Miami Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame. In addition, he is Vice Chairman of the Technology Foundation of the Americas, a founder of the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) football program, a lifetime member of the FAU Inner Circle and Alumni Association and recipient of the University’s 2000 Talon Award for outstanding leadership.
Mr. Dosal serves on the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta - Miami Branch, Compuquip Technologies, Blue Wave Communications, BrightGauge Software and Capital America. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
Eric Dosal, President & CEO
As President & CEO of Compuquip Technologies, Eric Dosal is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of all Compuquip departments, including sales, services, operations and human resources.
Mr. Dosal's tenure at Compuquip has also included the role of Director of Services where he oversaw the operations of Compuquip's service delivery team which provides strategic outsourcing of information technology, and Account Executive within Compuquip's sales group where he managed the firm's four largest client accounts and generated 60 percent of the sales group's quota.Prior to joining Compuquip in 2002, Mr. Dosal was an associate with the Investment Banking Group at Blaylock & Partners in New York City. Here, he worked on a variety of transactions, including public high-yield-debt offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and IPOs that helped Fortune 500 companies, such as Lucent Technologies, Philip Morris, Kraft Foods, Prudential Financial, Citigroup, Travelers Property Casualty, and Verizon Wireless, raise more than $20 billion in financing.
Active in charitable causes, Mr. Dosal supports Habitat for Humanity, the National Brain Tumor Foundation and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, on behalf of which he helps raise funds during their annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon. Mr. Dosal is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Babson College Miami Alumni Committee and the Babson College President's Society.
Mr. Dosal holds a bachelor's degree in finance and investments from Babson College, where he graduated magna cum laude and earned the Wallace P. Mors Award for top finance student.
Brian Dosal, Managing Director
Brian Dosal is the Managing Director of Compuquip Technologies and is the co-founder of a new software company, BrightGauge Software.
Mr. Dosal was formerly the Director of Sales & Marketing of Compuquip's Infrastructure Division and responsible for marketing strategy, sales operations and the sales efforts of Compuquip's Managed IT Services. He joined Compuquip in 2006 in the role of Account Manager where he grew Compuquip's Managed IT Services offering into the regional leader it has become today.
Mr. Dosal's expertise stems from his time at IBM where in 2004 he worked as a Sales Representative in Detroit, MI providing IBM hardware, software, and service offerings to small and medium sized businesses. After graduating from the IBM Global Sales School with distinction in late 2004, he was promoted to outside Sales Representative for enterprise accounts in Milwaukee, WI.
Mr. Dosal earned a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame where he was honored with the Eugene D. Fanning Award and scholarship for exceptional achievement in business communication. He was also captain of the Notre Dame Fencing Team which won a national championship in 2003 and was personally awarded the Dan Mulligan Award of Leadership in 2003 and 2004.
Mr. Dosal currently serves as President of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Miami, and is an avid triathlon enthusiast and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital supporter. Every year he organizes a team along with his brother to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the Nautica South Beach Triathlon. The Compuquip Triathlon Team, under Brian's leadership, has raised over $30,000 in the past two years for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Bradford Reed, Director, Compuquip Security Division
Bradford Reed is Director of the Compuquip Security Division, responsible for selling, marketing and delivering all of Compuquip's Internet Security offerings. Mr. Reed joined Compuquip in 2001 to expand their presence in the security industry and has helped build a thriving practice based on providing best-of-breed security products and services to a wide range of accounts spanning many vertical industry segments.
Mr. Reed has over 30 years experience in Information Technology and has been involved with Internet Security since the conception of the industry. His work began at Burroughs Corporation as a sales associate and programmer for financial organizations. He then moved on to Prime Computer where he was an International Sales Manager and Manager of International Technical Support for the company's Global Distribution channels.
Mr. Reed's experience continued to expand and his responsibility grow. He served as the Federal Government Program Manager for multi-billion dollar projects at HP, and managed the international OEM channel at Digital Projects. Finally, before joining Compuquip, Mr. Reed was Sales Manager for the New England Region of RISC Management which was the top performing office for several years.
Mr. Reed graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Management in 1979. He is active in several programs at the Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, FL and a member of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and MOSI Museum of Science.
Ian Anderson, Director of Finance
As Director of Finance, Ian Anderson is responsible for the oversight of Compuquip's finance and accounting functions, in addition to assisting the organization in planning and budgeting to achieve its strategic objectives. He joined Compuquip in 2009 and took on the challenge of improving the accounting department's processes and enhancing its reporting capabilities.
Prior to joining Compuquip, Mr. Anderson was a Senior Internal Auditor with the Miami office of Bupa, one of the largest international healthcare companies. Before this, he was an auditor and fraud investigator with Ernst & Young, LLP in Miami.
Mr. Anderson is on the Board of Directors for the Notre Dame Club of Miami-Dade where he serves as club treasurer. He is also an active triathlete and yearly participant in the Nautica South Beach Triathlon benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A certified public accountant (CPA), Mr. Anderson earned a master's degree in accounting and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
