Compuquip Technologies Recognized by The Beacon Council with Information Technology Industry Award
Compuquip Technologies Inc., one of the largest IT providers in South Florida, was recently honored by The Beacon Council with a 2008 Beacon Award for outstanding contributions to the Miami-Dade economy in the areas of job creation, business expansion, corporate citizenship and leadership.
“It is a great honor to receive this recognition from the South Florida business community,” said Compuquip’s president and CEO, Alberto Dosal, who accepted the award at The Beacon Council’s sixth annual awards ceremony. “Over our company’s 28 year history, we have placed a high value on giving back to the community through service and leadership and believe that these activities have contributed to the significant growth and success of our business.”

Compuquip wins ITT Technical Institute Employer of the Year Award
ITT Technical Institute in Miami, Florida has awarded Compuquip Technologies the Employer of the Year Award for 2008. This award was given to Compuquip for our commitment to hiring ITT graduates for various positions within Compuquip’s engineering team. We are honored to receive this award as we pride ourselves on bringing the brightest and most talented candidates into our organization and sharing our ideas, innovations and ways of doing business. This award is a testament to our standing in the community and stability as an employer.
Compuquip recognized with GMCC Award for “Outstanding Expansion Plans”.
Compuquip Technologies Inc. received the Top-100 Minority Business Award for “Outstanding Expansion Plans” presented by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce at an Awards Ceremony on March 12, 2009.
During its 29-year history, Compuquip Technologies has successfully expanded with new service offerings to meet the IT demands of local businesses. Over the past five years, the company has increased revenue 186 percent through the growth of its Internet security business, the introduction of Managed IT Services, and the launch of Compuquip Professional Services (CPS).

Over the past year, we grew our Managed IT Services division 80 percent by delivering increased cost savings, IT reliability and support to a larger audience of clients, and we expect this division will grow 150 percent by the end of 2009.”
